When is Eurovision 2026? Here’s what to know about the contest’s 70th edition

This year’s Eurovision grand final will take place in Vienna, Austria in what will be the contest’s 70th edition.
There are 35 countries competing in total. There are two semi-finals and these will take place on Tuesday 12 May and Thursday 14 May. The top 10 countries from each semi will make it through to the Grand Final.
A total of 25 countries will perform in the Grand Final. The 20 that emerge from the semi-finals, the Big Four countries (United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy) and hosts Austria.
The Eurovision Grand Final will take place on Saturday 16 May. UK viewers will be able to view the contest on BBC.
