A police manhunt is underway to track down a knifeman after a broad daylight fatal stabbing in a Birmingham street.
The victim, a man believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene in Walford Road, Sparkbrook, despite efforts to save him. Multiple police cars and ambulances were filmed at the scene as people living nearby gathered in the street.
Police sealed off the road and an area remains closed off the morning. West Midlands Police said no arrests had yet been made.
A statement from the force said: “We’ve launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death in Birmingham this evening.
“We were called to Walford Road in Sparkbrook at around 6.20pm after a man, believed to be in his 40s, had been attacked. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at around 7pm.

“No arrests have yet been made, and our officers remain at the scene this evening as we recover CCTV and speak to witnesses.
“Anyone with information, CCTV, mobile phone or dashcam footage from the area at the time should contact 101, quoting log 4881 of June 4.”
