Love Island’s Paige Turley and Saint Phnx’s Stevie Jukes have walked countless red carpets but insist no other awards show will ever top Pride of Scotland.
The duo, who are red carpet hosts at Monday night’s event, will chat to the inspirational winners and celebrity guests as they make their way into the Glasgow Hilton for this year’s star-studded ceremony.
Paige and Stevie can’t wait to bring the nation all the glamour and celebrity gossip from what promises to be a sensational night.
This is Paige’s fifth year as red-carpet host and the singer from Fauldhouse, West Lothian, admits she has been planning her outfit carefully after last year’s hilarious wardrobe malfunction.
The 28-year-old singer, who won season six of Love Island, said: “I got out of the taxi and before I had even set foot on the red carpet my gown split open right across the bum.

“While I was getting mic’d up there was someone behind me on their hands and knees with a needle and thread trying to sew my backside back into my dress.
“This year I have made sure to choose a looser fitting silk number so there will hopefully be no need for last-minute repairs.”
Paige, who is bringing her boyfriend Kieran Tumilowicz to the glittering event, says the awards are always the highlight of her year and she is excited about pairing up with Stevie again.
The BGT star, who is playing TRNSMT this summer, said: “I’m excited about hosting with Stevie again. He’s the yin to my yang and we have a rare old time bouncing off each other.
“I’m all about the style and fashion and he talks to folk about what they are up to. Our job is to put everyone at ease. The red carpet can be a daunting place, especially for the winners who have never experienced something like that before.

“It’s my absolutely favourite night of the year as the awards shine a light on people who have been doing so much for others but never seek any recognition.”
Stevie, 41, who formed chart toppers Saint Phnx with brother Alan, 38, in 2016, admits he could not have got through last year without his glamorous sidekick and is looking forward to getting their double act back together.
The dad-of-two, from Wishaw, Lanarkshire, said: “I was really nervous last year. I can talk all day and don’t know when to shut up but I was terrified I would not know what to say to folk on the red carpet, but Paige was great and helped me get my bearings.
“We had an absolute blast and it’s very special to be asked back to do it all again this year.
“Paige and I definitely make a good team but I’m going to have to go way out sassy with my suit this year to match her glam.”
From acts of kindness and selfless bravery to raising millions for charity, it’s no wonder the Daily Record Pride of Scotland Awards with P&O Cruises is the people’s Oscars.
Stevie, dad to Jacob, 19, and Charlie, 10, has performed at the awards twice and knows how emotional the night is.
He said: “Every year I’m blown away by all the winners’ stories and as a dad it’s always the kids who get to me.
“Little Zac Gunn, who passed away last year, won a Child of Courage award in 2022 and that wee man will always hold a special place in my heart.
“My wife is a neonatal midwife at Wishaw General and looked after Zac when he was born and over the years we have got to know the whole family.
“Saint Phnx was Zac’s favourite band and Happy Place was his favourite song. I can still see him bouncing about at the awards and can’t believe he is gone. He will always be my pride of Scotland.”
Paige, who has been busy in the studio recording a new single, says she always ends up an emotional mess on the night.
The reality star, who sits on the Pride of Scotland judging panel, said: “I always pack lots of tissues as I end up greeting. The winners really get to me.
“I get emotional just reading their stories on judging day and then when I see them at the awards it hits me even harder.”
She added: “It’s also lovely seeing all the celebrities who come every year to celebrate Scotland and its people.
“I sometimes get quite starstruck when I have to chat to people on the red carpet like Lulu, Susan Boyle and Brian Cox.
“It is truly a very special night but for me the unsung heroes are always the stars of the night.”
Stevie is going to have a busy night as he will be closing the show with a performance alongside Nathan Evans.
They will be performing the World Cup version of their hit Home which is guaranteed to lift the roof and have guest on their feet.
Stevie, whose single Happy Place – written after losing his dad to pulmonary fibrosis – topped the Scottish charts in 2021, said: “It’s a real privilege to be there on the red carpet welcoming everyone in and then rounding off the event with a performance.
“Home is such an apt song as it is all about how proud we are to be Scottish and on Monday night we will be honouring some of the most inspirational people in Scotland.
He added: “Nathan, Alan and I are off to the States next week to perform the new World Cup version of Home at several shows in the run up to Scotland’s opening game against Haiti in Boston.
“My dad passed away a few years ago. He was a massive football fan and would love that his sons were off to the States to perform at the World Cup.
“It’s been a whirlwind of a year already and it’s getting more exciting by the minute. After we get back from the World Cup we are playing lots of festivals and in August we are running our very own festival at the Royal Highland showgrounds.
“To kick off such an incredible summer with the Pride of Scotland awards is the icing on the cake.”
