Patrick Randall Perry, 55, has been charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of Berry Le’Mar Henderson, 37, on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on May 20.
The incident began when Henderson, waiting for a bus, was attacked by Perry’s dog and stabbed the animal in self-defense.
Perry and three other men then chased Henderson across the street, attacking him with a metal bat and other weapons, with Perry ultimately stabbing Henderson with his own knife.
Three other suspects, Bruce Lamont Fuller Jr., Isaul Hernandez, and Robert Anthony Garcia, were also arrested and charged in connection with Henderson’s death.
Perry has a history of violence, including a 2024 incident where he ordered his dog to attack men, and had previously received mental health diversion for bipolar disorder stemming from his Army service.
