Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, says God anointed him as a divine goalkeeper tasked with protecting the state from intruders.
The governor said this in a statement shared on his verified X handle, attributing his confidence to divine affirmation and the performance of his administration.
DAILY POST recalls that Governor Adeleke has since declared his intention to seek re-election in the August 15, 2026 gubernatorial poll.
“Today, by the grace of God and the support of the good people of Osun, I have been divinely affirmed as the goalkeeper to man the goalpost of Osun State Government against any potential intruder,” he said.
He highlighted achievements in infrastructure development, workers’ welfare, education, healthcare, and grassroots empowerment, insisting that his administration’s record “speaks for itself”.
“As we prepare for the August 15 election, I am ready to visit every town and village to present our achievements and unveil an updated Five Point Agenda for a greater Osun,” Adeleke added.
He called on the opposition to embrace issue-based campaigns rather than personal attacks, saying the people of Osun should decide based on “facts, performance and truth”.
“With God on our side and the people behind us, victory is assured. Imole continuity is imminent,” he said.
