Fans who are missing Douglas Henshall as Jimmy Perez in Shetland ought to give his Netflix thriller a go.
Who is Erin Carter? is a seven-part action thriller centred on a British supply teacher residing in Spain with her husband and young daughter, reports the Express.
However, her world is turned upside down after she becomes embroiled in a supermarket robbery in which the criminals claim to recognise her.
From this moment, Erin’s (played by Evin Ahmad) life begins to unravel as the truth surrounding her true identity is gradually exposed.
Alongside lead Ahmad, the programme also boasts beloved Shetland star Henshall, Doctor Odyssey and The Gold’s Sean Teale, Andor’s Denise Gough, Susannah Fielding from This Time with Alan Partridge, and The Castaways actress Charlotte Vega.

They continued: “It has an interesting plot and developed characters.
“The backstory is delivered bit by bit, keeping the viewer involved. I appreciated the main character as being multi-faceted.”
A second viewer wrote: “I love Douglas Henshell so I decided to watch! Not bad more like an Acorn or Brittbox series. For Netflix wasn’t bad.”

A third audience member praised the show as “Addictive bingeworthy” and elaborated: “The good thing about this mini-series is that there is a lot of action, good fighting scenes, a little suspense and mystery and overall good acting.”
Henshall previously revealed what drew him to the scripts for the Netflix thriller: “I love Jack Lothian’s writing and I was enthusiastic to work with Netflix having never worked with them before and with Left Bank because I’m an admirer of their work. Also the thought of going to spend four months in Barcelona I can’t say wasn’t an added bonus!”
He continued: “Although I didn’t quite keep in mind how hot it would be. Coming from shooting in Shetland to suddenly being in the middle of Barcelona in the summer working in 42 degrees with the humidity.
