The winner of the new ITV quiz show, Nobody’s Fool, has revealed their mum fainted when they won.
The tactical competition – where contestants’ fortunes aren’t determined by their intelligence, but by how intelligent their fellow participants perceive them to be – launched in May, with Rivals co-stars Danny Dyer and Emily Atack presenting.
The most recent episode saw financial analyst Kamaal outwit the hopefuls to claim the series and the £100,000 cash prize, Wales Online reports.
He revealed: “This is going to sound like I’m exaggerating… my mum FAINTED! Fell to the ground LOOOOL!
“Incredibly dramatic as always, she’s never been one for small emotions.”

Kamaal continued: “Winning the show all felt very surreal at the time, so I don’t think the reality hit me until I was picking my mum up from the ground and seeing firsthand how much it meant to her.
“My dad, on the other hand, I don’t think he stopped drinking his tea – stoicism is his default, but I know he’s smiling under there.”
The final stages of the programme saw Kamaal competing against his friend Harry in an attempt to secure the jackpot.
“On a personal level, the comfort of going against Harry in the final meant I can sincerely say there was no ‘bad’ outcome for me, I was going to be happy with whoever won the money,” he said.
“I felt like c**p for celebrating in front of him, especially when knowing he wanted the money for his wedding fund (feels like I’m robbing true love, and you guys know I’m a true romantic at heart), so it’s good to know that he could also be happy for me and I’ll get him a gift from the registry so we’re even.”

Contestants on the programme had to try to deceive one another about their intellect, and Kamaal revealed his parents were “scared” by how naturally the deception came to him.
“Little do they know where I’ve spent the years building up those skills,” he quipped.
“Anyone who grew up with strict parents knows that lying is borderline a survival essential (unless my parents or employers are reading this, in which case I’ve never told a lie in my life).”
