Katie Price shocked fans in January when she got married for the fourth time – this time to Dubai-based businessman Lee Andrews, and the pair have rarely been out of the headlines since.
Things really took a dramatic turn when the pair were meant to make their first joint TV appearance on Good Morning Britain almost three weeks ago, but Lee was nowhere to be seen, having failed to board the flight from the affluent city.
Lee vanished for more than a fortnight as Katie initially claimed he had been “kidnapped,” before he eventually resurfaced. Last week, the glamour model told fans that he had been in touch from prison in Dubai, where it was alleged that he been arrested and detained on suspicion of espionage.
With Monday supposedly set to be the day of his apparent release, follow The Mirror’s live blog for the latest updates on the situation that has already had several twists and turns in such a short space of time.

Katie Price’s marriage might be on the rocks – but her career may also be in trouble after the saga of her missing husband Lee Andrews finally came to an end.
While the dramatic narrative has spread like wildfire, and captivated lots of people, PR expert Mayah Riaz warns that crying wolf could ultimately cost Katie her livelihood, if it now emerges that the story is totally fake.

To add further confusion to the mix, Lee’s dad previously squashed claims over his son’s disappearance and declared that he had actually been arrested in Dubai – something Katie initially dismissed as fake news, before sharing news of his detention just days later.
Shedding light on his whereabouts, she finally confirmed that he was in Dubai Central Jail (also called Al Awir) – located in the Al Aweer area of the city.

“I have found him – he is alive, and he is okay. I told him how worried I had been and told him I loved him,” she told the Sun at the time.
“It was very rushed, but he said the authorities out there thought he was a spy. I don’t know much more than that right now.”
Although details are thin on the ground over what led to Lee’s detention, the prison he is allegedly being held in has faced multiple negative reviews and reports of poor conditions. Take a look inside the notorious jail here.

Although fans have been desperate for any crumbs of information on Lee’s whereabouts, Katie’s own social media antics raised some eyebrows.
Before confirming that he was in prison, she previously announced that she would be taking a step back and focusing on herself amid concern for her husband’s safety.
However, she then posted as part of a paid advertisement to promote CBD gummied, which she claimed helped her relax and reduce her anxiety – and also offered followers a discount code.
In a video, she said: “Hey everyone, just giving you a little update. I’m feeling a lot better today, a lot calmer, I think all this CBD and gummies that I’ve been taking and in the day and at night, I’m actually feeling a lot, lot calmer.
“Thank God, anyone out there who suffers anxiety, can’t sleep and your brain is going nuts, too many things going on, and anxious, I’m telling you now, this CBD works, I’ve been taking it and you all know how stressful things are for me at the moment.
“But today, is the first day is the first day, I’m feeling good. So check out the site, I’m smiling, just feeling a lot better today.”
But her followers were not that impressed by the paid advert. One social media follower penned: “I try to support you, Katie… But really the constant selling and promotion with everything else going on in life. But think you need to re-group… I love you and honestly feel your pain. But leave it a while! Concentrate on you and family and not CBD!”
“It’s actually putting me off buying now,” another fumed.

While chatting to her sister, Sophie Price, Katie also attempted to end any speculation over Lee’s Instagram antics after his account followed another woman while he was said to be detained.
“Oh, I did ask him [about his apparent phone activity],” she told her sibling on the podcast. “He hasn’t been on his phone. He hasn’t had his phone.
“He’s been interrogated. They’ve gone through his phone, so they’ve been mucking about on his phone. It’s not been Lee. He hasn’t got his phone.”
Shedding further light on the woman he briefly followed, she claimed: “What happened with that other woman was apparently she activated her account and maybe she followed Lee or Lee followed her years ago.
“They’ve never exchanged messages or nothing. So she’s blocked him and that’s why it’s gone back.”

During the latest episode of her podcast, released last Thursday, Katie opened up about her first conversation with Lee after his disappearance.
Not one to sugarcoat things, she admitted that she informed her husband that he had become “the most hated man in Britain” amid the ongoing drama.

During the phone call, which lasted around a minute, she allegedly said: “Trust me, you are the most hated man in Britain. Everyone thinks this is a scam.”
While she didn’t share his response, Katie also revealed that Lee asked if she thought he was dead…

While the dramatic narrative has spread like wildfire, and captivated lots of people, PR expert Mayah Riaz warns that crying wolf could ultimately cost Katie her livelihood, if it now emerges that the story is totally fake.
She told the Daily Mirror: “This one is definitely one where credibility becomes the bigger story rather than the original claims themselves. Katie has built a career on living publicly and dramatically, so we have almost been conditioned to expect high emotion and sensational headlines around her personal life.
“But there does come a point where repeated exaggerations can start to erode trust, even amongst her loyal fans.”
Mayah said that using words like ‘kidnap’ and invoking agencies like Interpol risks alienating the public if the stories are exposed as fiction. Read more here.

The son of a British man who spent five harrowing years trapped in a Dubai jail has slammed Lee Andrews, accusing him of hijacking his family’s real-life trauma and branding him a ‘Tinder Swindler’ style con artist.
Speaking to the Mirror, businessman Wolfgang Douglas – who lived in Dubai for 12 years – did not hold back on his view of the glamorous emirate or Katie Price’s new husband.
“Dubai is a fake city. A fake world, a fake economy, with fake economics. It’s a fake place filled with fake people,” Wolfgang told the Mirror. “Lee Andrews is probably the fakest of them between his fake teeth and his fake Instagram and his fake LinkedIn and his fake photographs with his AI.” Read more here.

During last week’s episode of The Katie Price Show, Katie told her shocked sister Sophie of how impressed Interpol were with her detective skills.
She said: “It has been a worry and they have been amazing, to the point that they said I would be an amazing detective. You know I wanted to be a paramedic but I might even try to be a detective. They said ‘It’s not the same kind of money Kate.’
“They said I’ve helped so much. The way I think about things, giving them clues, which they obviously know from intelligence. But they actually said, ‘Do you know what Kate? We do a lot of these cases and you would be a good detective yourself!”

Never one to shy away from work, the former model is set to promote her latest career venture, a racy stripper film, soon.
She’ll star alongside James Phelps, Patsy Kensit and Charlotte Kirl in Jackie the Stripper. Katie is playing Lisa, an old school pal of Jackie. Speaking about Katie, director Michael Head told the Daily Star: “There has also been a lot of attention around Katie Price who was a late addition to the cast, Katie was a pleasure to work with and has been very well received at the Berline Film Festival (EFM). Again I can’t say too much but I am looking forward to working with Katie again not just in the Jackie franchise but in other films also.
“Everyone knows of Katie Price as a personality and I believe there is a lot to come from Katie as an actor and can’t wait to work with her again.”

It’s fair to say Lee Andrews has dominated the headlines since he married Katie Price in a shotgun wedding earlier this year. I’ve spoken to him, and nothing adds up, says Mirror journalist Daniel Bird. Read more here.

Instead of addressing the drama surrounding her husband, Katie’s first post was a sweet tribute to her son Harvey, who turned 24 last week. She wrote: “Best weekend celebrating Harvey’s birthday with my babies.”

As the whole drama unfolded, Katie suddenly vanished from Instagram, which she is normally very active on. But just hours before Lee’s release is supposedly set to take place, the page is back up and running again. Read more about her social media absence here.

Katie’s friends were said to be worried she would be flying out today. A source said: “[Friends] are worried that she is going to fly out to Dubai to go and meet him when he comes out of prison on Monday. After everything Lee’s put her through the last couple of weeks, she’s been very scared, very anxious, very worried about him.”

The Mirror recently revealed that Katie’s pals are concerned about the star after she received a call from Lee from prison. He was reported as a missing person on May 17, five days after he was last seen. A pal of Katie’s said: “Pals of Katie are scared that she is going to get back with Lee. They thought she’d seen the light when he did a disappearing act on her, but now she’s had this fresh phone call from him from prison, they feel like she’s gone 10 steps backwards.” Read more here.
