Shipping firm punished after worker’s life-changing forklift injury

Streamline Shipping Agencies Limited has been fined over £146,000 after an employee suffered life-changing injuries at its Aberdeen facility.
The 43-year-old man was struck by a reversing forklift truck on 26 September 2024, sustaining multiple fractures and a degloving injury.
A Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigation found Streamline Shipping Agencies Limited failed to ensure safe circulation for pedestrians and vehicles.
The company pleaded guilty to breaching Health and Safety at Work and Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) regulations.
Streamline Shipping Agencies Limited was fined £146,700 and ordered to pay an £11,000 victim surcharge at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on 22 May 2026.
