Need to know
- Date: The celebration will take place on Sunday, May 31. The event will serve as a unified celebration for both the men’s and women’s squads after a memorable year of success.
- Time: The parade kicks off at 2pm. Supporters are advised to arrive in Islington well ahead of schedule to find a comfortable viewing spot before the crowds peak.
- Route: The route stretches for 9km, going up Holloway Road, around Seven Sisters, through Blackstock Road onto Newington Green, then all the way down Essex Road before turning right at Angel station onto Upper Street. The route does not pass by the stadium.
- Closures: The Emirates and the immediately surrounding roads will be closed to the public. Organisers have explicitly warned fans not to congregate on Hornsey Road, Benwell Road or Drayton Park, as the buses will not be visible from those areas.
- Disruption: Local disruptions are expected on the day as Islington Council implements strict road closures and parking bans starting as early as 4am. These extensive traffic restrictions and security sweeps are projected to remain in place until approximately 8pm.
- Tradition broken: For the safety of the public, the club has decided to break with tradition by shelving the classic stationary trophy lift outside Islington Town Hall. Because over 500,000 fans are projected to attend, the open-top buses will continuously move along the route to keep the huge crowds safely dispersed.
- Public transport: Services across central and north London will be exceptionally busy, with several local bus routes undergoing diversions. Anyone planning to travel to Islington is urged to check the Transport for London website and consider arriving the night before to avoid major travel delays.
- Online coverage: The entire event will be broadcast digitally. The ‘Champions Live From N5’ coverage will be streamed live across the official Arsenal app, YouTube, Facebook and X starting from the launch of the event.
