- A Blue Origin rocket, owned by Jeff Bezos, exploded into a huge fireball during a scheduled engine test on a launch pad in Florida.
- The incident, described by Blue Origin as an “anomaly”, occurred at 9pm EST on Thursday, 28 May.
- Footage captured the rocket engulfed in flames, with the powerful explosion visible from 115 miles away in Fort Pierce.
- All personnel involved in the test were accounted for, safe and uninjured, following the blast.
- Jeff Bezos commented on the “very rough day”, saying the company would rebuild and continue its space endeavours.
