A man has been arrested after Manchester Airport was forced to close its forecourts at Terminal 2, sparking major disruption for travellers.
Greater Manchester Police had initially been called to a concern for welfare report after it was reported there was a man on the wrong side of fencing on the upper level of the terminal’s car park.
Officers have now said a man, aged in his 40s, has been arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance and a public order offence. He has been taken into custody to be questioned by officers. It’s understood the incident is no longer being treated as a welfare incident as first reported.
