  • Blair argued that any leadership change would be irrelevant without a prior policy debate, stating that trying to force the Prime Minister out without a clear direction is not serious.
  • He stated that the UK is currently “too weak” to reset its relationship with the EU and cannot discuss rejoining until it regains economic strength.
  • Blair also expressed concern that Britain is becoming “marooned on an island of irrelevance” in the new world order due to conflicting political tendencies.
