President Donald Trump used Memorial Day to launch attacks on “Dumocrats” and Republican opponents via social media, largely overlooking the holiday’s purpose of honoring fallen U.S. military personnel.
In his posts, Trump wished a “Happy Memorial Day to all, including the Dumocrats,” and asserted that Democrats have “BAD POLICY AND BAD CANDIDATES.”
He specifically targeted critics of his administration’s ongoing negotiations with Iran, including “Dumocrats,” “RINOS” and Republican figures such as Senator Thom Tillis, Bill Cassidy and Representative Thomas Massie.
Trump defended the potential Iran deal, stating it would be either “great and meaningful” or not happen, contrasting it with the “disaster” of the Obama administration’s previous agreement.
The proposed Iran deal has faced significant criticism, even from within his own party, with prominent Republicans like Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham and Mike Pompeo warning it could be a “disaster.”
