The opening day of practice in the Isle of Man TT races has been abandoned after a serious incident on the northern section of the course, organisers said.

The session was red flagged at about 13:50 BST following the incident at Parliament Square in Ramsey, which led to the implementation of “serious incident procedures”.

Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson confirmed the remainder of the day’s schedule had been cancelled “as management of the incident continues”. No further information has been released.

The 2026 TT, which takes place on closed public roads over the 37.7-mile (60km) Mountain Course, is set to run until 6 June.
