15 killed and several injured as truck overturns in Bangladesh crash

At least 15 people were killed and 10 injured after a truck overturned in central Bangladesh early on Monday.
The incident occurred around 5am in the Soratoil area of Tangail district, 83km northwest of the capital Dhaka.
Police reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which was carrying iron rods and numerous hitchhiking passengers.
The passengers were travelling from Dhaka to the northern region as vacationers began their journeys for the Muslim festival Eid al-Adha.
Bangladesh frequently experiences fatal road accidents due to lax oversight of traffic rules, poor road conditions, and unskilled driving.
