Pakistan train blast kills dozens in deadly terror attack

An explosion on a railway track in Quetta, Pakistan, killed at least 24 people and injured over 50 others, according to reports on Sunday.
The blast derailed a cargo train, causing two of its cars to overturn and catch fire, and was subsequently followed by gunfire.
The attack took place in an area where security forces are usually stationed, resulting in significant damage to nearby buildings and vehicles.
The outlawed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), which advocates for independence from Pakistan’s central government, claimed responsibility for the incident, stating they targeted a train carrying security personnel.
Quetta is the capital of Balochistan province, an oil- and mineral-rich region with a history of insurgency, and authorities have launched an investigation into the explosion.
