Former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel will make a shock career change later this evening when he takes on social media sensation Bob Menery.
The intriguing contest will be promoted by Kick streamer Adin Ross’ Brand Risk Promotions – which has made a habit of pitting celebrities against content creators in both the boxing ring and the MMA cage. Thirty-three-year-old Manziel had been tipped to fight Menery earlier, but it will now take place in Vegas at the Apex after UFC supremo Dana White expressed his interest in the contest.
White had previously stated that he’d bet $10,000 that Menery wouldn’t show up for the event. While Manziel has a sporting background, Menery is well-known for his appearances in front of the camera. The 38-year-old is the founding member of the Full Send Podcast, and is also a big hit with his comedic sports videos. And so, here is everything you need to know ahead of tonight’s fights…

Tonight’s action will take place at the UFC Apex, Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card is due to get underway at around 4am UK time Sunday morning (11pm ET / 10pm CT / 8pm PT). In the main event, Menery will likely make the walk to the ring at around 6am UK time on Sunday morning (1am ET Sunday / 12am CT Sunday / 10pm PT) with Manziel set to follow immediately after. The two stars will then touch gloves before the opening bell sounds. The fight should not start later than this but could be brought forward if the undercard fights are completed earlier than expected.

If you (Menery) want to go into the fact that you think you can kick my a**, then you are out of your mind. That’s pretty much what it comes down to.
