A rare albino buffalo in Bangladesh which has become famous due to its resemblance to Donald Trump is due to be sacrificed within days.
The animal has become a celebrity after its flowing golden hair drew comparisons to the US president, earning him the nickname ‘Donald Trump’. The 1,500lb (700kg) bull and his blonde hairdo receive a constant stream of curious visitors at the farm where he lives near Dhaka.
The animal’s owner Zia Uddin Mridha, 38, said the bull was named by his brother, thanks to the beast’s “extraordinary hair”. “My younger brother jokingly named it Donald Trump after seeing the hair on its head.

It is very calm in nature. Albino buffaloes are generally peaceful and do not become aggressive unless provoked,” he said.
He revealed that people had been coming in their droves to visit the animal throughout the month of May.
“Truly, the features are similar between the buffalo and President Donald Trump,” said one fan, who arrived with five friends and relatives. “My nephew took a one-hour boat journey to see Donald Trump,” he added.
Mr Mridha has cared for the four-year-old animal for the past year, but the buffalo is due to be slaughtered, alongside roughly 12 million livestock, as people in Bangladesh prepare for the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha later this month.

Eid al-Adha is the second of the two main festivals in Islam, alongside Eid al-Fitr – this year it is set to fall on May 26 with celebrations lasting for three days.
“I am going to miss Donald Trump. But that is the core spirit of Eid al-Adha – making a sacrifice,” said Mr Mridha.
A visitor told the Prothom Alo newspaper: “When I saw his pictures on Facebook, he looked exactly like Donald Trump. His facial structure and even hairstyle match that of Trump.”
