Jet2 has reassured customers that summer holidays will proceed as normal, stating that the “only oil you need to worry about is your sun oil”.
The UK’s third-largest airline confirmed it has sufficient fuel and will not impose surcharges on any booked flights or holidays.
This positive outlook is attributed to “positive updates” from fuel suppliers, indicating increased production and additional imports from areas unaffected by the Middle East conflict.
Demand for holidays to popular destinations including the Balearics, Canaries, Turkey, and Greece is expected to grow throughout the summer season.
Jet2’s commitment contrasts with some other airlines, such as Lufthansa and Air France-KLM, which are cancelling flights or imposing fuel surcharges, though other British carriers like easyJet Holidays, Tui, and Ryanair have also pledged no surcharges.
