One Tree Hill fans, this is not a drill: Lucas Scott and Jake Jagielski have reunited!
Chad Michael Murray and Bryan Greenberg, who played the beloved characters on the hit teen drama series, shared a sweet moment at Beaches Turks & Caicos to celebrate the opening of Treasure Beach Village on Saturday, May 16, and Us Weekly was there to witness the epic reunion.
“You know, it’s funny, we’ve just been messaging and we’re like, ‘Hey, where are we gonna link up?’ and we haven’t linked up yet,” Murray, 44, told Us moments before snapping a photo with Greenberg, 47, at the celebration. “We will. It’s coming within, like, five minutes.”
Murray played Lucas on One Tree Hill, the protagonist of the early seasons of the show, who shares a sweet friendship — and eventually, a love interest — with fellow outcast and basketball player, Greenberg’s Jake.
While Lucas goes on to marry his high school love Peyton Sawyer (played by Hilarie Burton), many fans, to this day, remain on team Jake.
Over 20 years after the premiere of OTH, Murray and Greenberg have gone on to start families of their own.
Murray brought along his wife, Sarah Roemer, and their three children to the Beaches party, while Greenberg had his wife, Jamie Chung, and their 4-year-old twin boys in tow.
“My kids are right over there, and they just had the most incredible time,” Murray told Us. “My son celebrated his birthday while we’ve been here. [We did] parasailing, and he and I went and played chess this morning, and then some mini golf on the grounds. We’re just doing it all.”
He continued: “He gave me a list of, like, three things. ‘This is what I want to do.’ My daughter, she gave her list. We brought our really close family friends who travel everywhere with us out, so the kids have been going crazy for the last two days. It’s been magic. Absolute magic.”
While he certainly has kept his basketball-ready physique from the OTH days, Murray traded strength training for tropical drinking on his Turks & Caicos getaway.
“I’m on vacation [and] I did not do anything while I was here, and it was well worth it,” he told Us. “I’m gonna grab a daiquiri, something tropical, because this is the only time I’ll ever drink anything tropical, and I’m going in the water.”
This iconic Caribbean crossover isn’t the only One Tree Hill reunion that went down this month. Greenberg and Chung, 43, appear on season 2 of James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti’s show Everyone Is Doing Great, which premiered on Netflix on May 11.

“I think one of Bryan’s scenes we moved up in one of the episodes because we were like, ‘This is so good. We want to get this closer to the beginning of the episode,’” Colletti, 40, told Us of Greenberg’s guest starring role ahead of the premiere. “He’s so great.”
It’s a full-circle moment in more ways than one for the Laguna Beach alum, who shot some scenes from the show back in Wilmington, North Carolina, the town behind the fictional Tree Hill.
“When I first got on One Tree Hill back in 2006 or so, it was such a big moment for me in my life, wanting to continue to work on that show and even getting that job in the first place,” Colletti recalled to Us. “So to finally, full-circle, be back with one of my good friends from that show, and to have our own show back shooting there … has been really, really fun.”
