Bandits have attacked Saketa village in Dinawa Ward, Wurno Local Government Area of Sokoto State, abducting eight residents and stealing several livestock.
The incident was contained in a post shared on X by security analyst Bakatsine on Sunday night.
According to the analyst, the attackers, who were armed with dangerous weapons, stormed the community around 1:00 a.m. and reportedly spent several hours carrying out the operation.
He said residents attempted to resist the attackers but the bandits managed to overpower them and escaped with eight people and several animals.

“The bandits, armed with dangerous weapons, stormed the village around 1AM midnight and reportedly spent hours carrying out the operation,” Bakatsine wrote.
