Suspected bandits have attacked the base of a security outfit known as Operation Burst in Oyo State.
Operation Burst is a joint security outfit consisting of men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC and the Nigerian Army.
The security outfit was established by the immediate past governor of the State, late Abiola Ajimobi.

However, the security outfit situated along the Igbeti/Igboho road was attacked in the early hours of Sunday.

The road is between Olorunsogo and Oorelope local government areas.
It was learnt that the attack took place between 5:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Chairman of the Olorunsogo local government area, Kazeem Olayanju, when contacted confirmed the attack.
Olayanju in a telephone conversation with DAILY POST explained that no casualty was recorded during the incident.

He said the bandits carted away properties such as generator and motorcycle.
He said “The information is true. But there is no casualty. They burnt the security post we constructed for them.
“They also set ablaze an abandoned vehicle there. They also carted away their generator and motorcycle. It occurred today around 5am and 6am.”
