The Oyo State Government has announced the release of the results of the 2026 Placement Screening Exercise into Junior Secondary Schools across the state.
This was contained in a statement released by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, and made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Friday.
“The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olusegun Olayiwola, has directed Head Teachers and other relevant stakeholders to liaise with the Local Inspectors of Education in their respective local government areas to collect the results of their pupils,” Oyelade said.
According to Olayiwola, the release of the results marked another important step in ensuring a smooth and transparent transition of pupils from primary schools into the next level of their education.
“It reaffirms the state government’s commitment to providing a fair, credible and efficient placement process for pupils across the state,” he said.
While congratulating all successful candidates, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology urged them to remain focused and committed to their studies as they transition into Junior Secondary School One for the 2026/2027 academic session.
He also encouraged the pupils to embrace the new phase of their education with seriousness, discipline and determination, stressing that their continued dedication to learning would contribute significantly to their academic success.
