  • More than 220 assisted travel workers at Gatwick Airport are set to strike over a pay dispute.
  • The industrial action, organised by trade union Unite, is scheduled to take place from 17 to 21 September and 23 to 26 September.
  • Union members unanimously rejected a two-year offer from employer Wilson James that included a 3.4 per cent pay increase.
  • Unite warned the walkout will inevitably cause disruption across the airport unless a significantly improved pay offer is presented.
  • Gatwick Airport stated it is working with Wilson James to mitigate the impact and expects to operate a normal flight schedule.
