U-20 WWC: Falconets get Akekoromowei boost for China clash

Benfica striker Janet Akekoromowei has joined the Falconets ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup clash against China, DAILY POST reports.

Akekoromowei missed Nigeria’s opening fixture against Spain following Benfica’s refusal to release her in time for the competition.

The 18-year-old trained with her teammates on Wednesday after arriving from Portugal.

The striker is expected to lead Moses Aduku’s side’s attack against the Chinese.
