The Adamawa State All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Tijani Galadima, has unveiled his campaign agenda, banking on agriculture as the major sector to drive an industrial revolution in the state.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday in Yola, Galadima said that if given the mandate, his administration would establish agricultural processing factories to give farmers value for their farm products.

“Our farmers are getting far less for what they are producing; it is those that are processing their farm products that are benefiting from our farmers’ sweat,” he said.

“My administration will invest heavily in agriculture to generate revenue and create job opportunities for our youths and change the fortunes of our people,” he stated.

Galadima also disclosed that resolving insecurity would top his administration’s agenda to boost farming activities in the state.

“Insecurity has affected the food production in the Adamawa State, majority of the farmers are having challenges accessing their farms, but we are going to ensure that we address the issue immediately we took over the mantle of leadership,” he said.

He urged the people of Adamawa State to trust him with their mandate and promised not to fail them in discharging his constitutional responsibilities as the governor of the state.

Galadima pointed out that his government would continue to build on what he described as the solid foundation of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s administration for a better future for the people of the state.

He urged other contestants to avoid campaigns of calumny and focus on issue-based campaigns, telling the people of the state about their blueprints instead of name-calling and blackmail.

“We should focus on what we can do for the state, instead of names calling of other contestants, let us sell our blue print and allow Adamawa people to vote their choice,” he said.

He added that with his exposure in federal government service, he stood out as the best candidate the people of the state could vote for to continue with the developmental strides of the present administration.
