2027: Fubara missing as Wike, Chinda, others storm Spain for strategic meeting

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, and some key stakeholders of the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State have reportedly held a strategic meeting in Spain ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The incumbent governor, Siminalayi Fubara, who recently identified with the coalition, is conspicuously absent from the meeting.

It was gathered that the Executive Director, Projects and Infrastructural Development, South South Development Commission (SSDC), Chief Marcus Nle Ejii, Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, Senator Mao Ohabunwa, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the state, Kingsley Ogundu Chinda, participated in the strategic meeting.

Although the purpose of the meeting was not made public, it may not be unconnected to the January and February 2027 general elections.
