Kirsten Storms is clarifying the claims that she made about her and daughter Harper’s devices being hacked while living in a Tennessee apartment.
“Wanted to clear up the confusion on my phone and Harper’s iPad being hacked along with the wifi in my apartment (at the Legacy Cool Springs building in Franklin),” the General Hospital alum, 42, wrote via Instagram on Monday, September 7. “This is the list from my Verizon router, when people were logging onto my WiFi last year. I gave this video to the Franklin Police Department when I filed the police report.”
Storms’ post included a video of her looking at the list of connected devices to her internet router. The list included several iPhones, multiple iPads, TV, a school laptop, a watch and more.
“Putting this out on social media to clear up the ‘alleged’ rumors regarding my phone and Harper’s iPad being ‘accessed/hacked.’ This is the list of devices on my internet router, last year at the Legacy Cool Springs building in Franklin,” she wrote.
Storms explained that she “hesitated to post” this information online but felt the need to clear the air after ex Brandon Barash alleged the hacking was not real.
“With the custody case Brandon filed, claiming this wasn’t real, I had to. Mislabeled a few. Then Harper told me her iPad had been kicked off the Wi-Fi,” she wrote. “Not sure how many people were doing this.”
Storms and Barash, who wed in 2013 and split in 2016, have been entangled in an ongoing custody battle over Harper. Barash, 46, filed for custody of his daughter in December 2025. Before the filing, the exes were coparenting Harper. The family even relocated from California to Tennessee in 2025.
Earlier this year, Storms spoke out about her and Barash’s custody battle.
“Please remember that we are people who are divorced and have a child,” she wrote via Instagram in July. “I appreciate the supportive comments, but now that my daughter is of the age where she will Google her name while riding the bus to school, I’m asking that the speculation on this issue please stop.”
Storms shared that being a mom changed her outlook on life especially while undergoing multiple health issues including her 2021 brain cyst and 2025 brain aneurysm.

“I had Harper, and how I viewed every single thing in life shifted,” she continued. “I swear I’m not going to continue to bring up my medical situation (I’ll make jokes and it will be awkward), but until I began to understand how precious time is and how what we prioritize becomes ALL we have, there was never a thought that my life would ever change.”
Storms added that she was hopeful that she and Barash could come to an agreement.
“I will briefly acknowledge that there is an ongoing situation with Brandon that will be getting sorted out (soon hopefully),” she wrote. “I would appreciate (and encourage) for people … not to worry about me, or think there is something larger going on, other than 2 ex-spouses dealing with a ‘disagreement’ that WILL be resolved.”
