Trains between Paddington and Heathrow Airport blocked by grass fire

- A grass fire near Scrubs Lane in North Kensington caused an electricity supply failure, blocking all rail lines between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport on Saturday.
- The disruption affected Great Western Railway, Heathrow Express, and Elizabeth line services, with cancellations and severe delays expected until the end of the day.
- London Fire Brigade dispatched six fire engines and around 40 firefighters to tackle the blaze after being called shortly after 4.10pm.
- Passengers travelling to Heathrow Airport were advised to allow extra journey time and use alternative routes such as local buses or the Piccadilly line.
- Great Western Railway announced that tickets for affected Saturday services would be valid for travel on Sunday at no extra cost.
