2026 Ballon d’Or: It would be an honour – Ruiz names player that deserves award

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, Fabian Ruiz, has claimed he deserves to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

According to Ruiz, it would be “an honour” to take home football’s prestigious individual award.

The Spaniard has enjoyed a successful season with PSG and the national team.

He won the Ligue 1 and Champions League titles, before lifting the World Cup in North America.

When asked by Téléfoot about winning the Ballon d’Or, he replied: “The Ballon d’Or? It’s a dream for any footballer.

“Why not this year? I dream of being as close as possible to lifting that trophy.

“I was lucky to be able to win a lot of collective trophies, and a few individual ones. It would be an honour.”
