Police search for man who made antisemitic threats on London street

Metropolitan Police are searching for a man who appeared in an online video threatening that “Jews gonna get beheaded” on a street in East London.
The incident occurred on Whitechapel Road in Tower Hamlets on Friday, with officers attending the scene shortly after the video was reported.
The Jewish community police force, Shomrim (London North & East), highlighted the “horrific” nature of the video and expressed that the Orthodox Jewish community is “exceptionally concerned” by these threats.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed they are conducting urgent inquiries to identify the individual, emphasising that hate crime has no place in communities and such incidents are taken seriously.
This event follows the recent announcement of 100 additional officers dedicated to protecting London’s Jewish communities and a warning from Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley about a growing “pandemic” of antisemitism in the UK, alongside a series of arson attacks at Jewish sites.
