Jordon Ibe sentenced after pulling braid from ex-girlfriends hair

- Former Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe has been sentenced to a 12-month community order after assaulting his ex-girlfriend outside her south London home.
- Croydon Magistrates’ Court heard how the 30-year-old pulled a braid from Amie Mayson’s hair during an argument over money on 14 December.
- Ibe, who pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm, was also ordered to complete 80 hours of unpaid work, 27 rehabilitation days, and pay £764 in fines and costs.
- Representing himself in court, the footballer expressed genuine remorse for his actions, calling the attack a “serious mistake”.
- In a victim impact statement, Ms Mayson detailed the significant physical and emotional impact of the assault, while noting she has forgiven Ibe as part of her healing process.
