‘Why wait until you’re called out’ — VeryDarkMan tackles Wike over Abuja flooding

Social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has criticised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, over flooding in parts of Abuja.

The activist questioned what he described as the government’s reactive approach to addressing drainage problems in the nation’s capital, claiming that repair works began shortly after he publicly raised concerns about the flooding situation.

In a post shared on his social media pages, VeryDarkMan wrote: “Yesterday I called out FCT Minister Nyesom Wike over city flooding, and today they are fixing the drainages. Why must you wait until you are called out? Una no dey see the problem?”

His comments come amid growing concerns over flooding in several parts of Abuja following heavy rainfall, with residents complaining about blocked drainages and waterlogged roads.
