Pep Guardiola admits collecting his haul of trophies as Manchester City boss has been “f***ing fun”.
Guardiola has dominated English football in the last decade after landing a remarkable 19 trophies since taking charge of City in 2016. These include six league titles and a Treble in 2023.
He will look to add the FA Cup to the Carabao Cup he’s already tucked away this season, when City face Chelsea in the showpiece final at Wembley on Saturday. And Guardiola insists he has loved building up his vast collection of silverware – to enhance his claim to be the best boss of all time.
When asked if his success proved his greatness, Guardiola said: “Of course, 19 titles in ten years is not bad.
“They know (the supporters). They don’t need to wait until when I’m leaving, they know I’ve been fun. I’ve been f****ing fun.”
This will be a record fourth straight final for City – and the 24th time Guardiola has led his team to Wembley.
And despite Guardiola being desperate to avoid an unwanted hat-trick of final defeats, he admits he will never tire of going to one of the world’s most iconic stadiums.
So much so that he reckons a section of it should be named after him.

Guardiola, who could have Ballon d”or winner Rodri back in the fold, added: “There is definitely excitement. Hopefully we can do better than the last times.
“This is a new game against Chelsea, and of course we to try to lift the trophy.
“I’m so disappointed that they don’t make a stand for Pep, the number of times I’ve been there! At least a lounge or a box.

“It’s been a special place. It’s really good to go to Wembley again. Everything is so nice. The pitch is extraordinary. Hopefully it will be a nice day.”
