Kiefer Sutherland shocked fans by canceling the U.S.leg of his Love Will Bring You Home tour.
“With great disappointment I am going to have to cancel the U.S. leg of my tour due to very low ticket sales,” the 24 alum, 59, wrote in a statement shared via Instagram on Friday, May 15. “I don’t think it’s fair to the people who bought tickets, or the venues, to play to half empty houses.”
Sutherland shared he hopes to play in the U.S. again one day soon.
“I look forward to touring the United States again at a more suitable time,” he continued. “I hope you understand.”
The actor added that refunds will be available to those who previously purchased tickets.
While many know Sutherland for his various acting roles, he is also an Americana musician who has released multiple albums since 2016.
Earlier this year, Sutherland announced he would be hitting the road in Europe, the United Kingdom and the U.S. to celebrate his upcoming album, Grey.
“To begin, I want to express how happy and excited I am to be releasing my fourth album, Grey. The songs were written and recorded over a two-year period from 2024 to 2026,” the Designated Survivor star shared via his website. “In many ways these songs mark a growth for me personally, as I wrote less about observations and more about personal feelings that I have been navigating in my own life.”
This would have been Sutherland’s first tour in the states in nearly a decade. The U.S. leg would have kicked off in June in Patchogue, New York, and included stops in Boston, Charlotte, Nashville, Phoenix, Los Angeles and more. The tour was scheduled to wrap up in Las Vegas in July.
Sutherland just wrapped up the European leg of his tour and will head to the U.K. next.
“We played our last show in Europe in Belgium last night,” Sutherland said in a Tuesday, May 12 Instagram video. “I wanted to take a moment and thank all the venues and all of the audiences, you guys were amazing. We are now playing in the U.K. for the next month.”

Sutherland is not the only performer to cancel his tour. The Pussycat Dolls recently canceled a majority of their upcoming U.S. reunion tour dates. Their European and U.K. legs remain scheduled.
“When we announced the PCD FOREVER Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world,” the group wrote via Instagram earlier this month. “After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates.”
Meghan Trainor, Post Malone and Zayn Malik have also canceled their upcoming tour dates for various reasons.
