Kevin Sorbo does not regret leaving California.

After the Hercules: The Legendary Journeys actor, 67, traded Hollywood for the Sunshine State seven years ago, the MAGA supporter told Fox News in an interview Sunday that part of the reason he left California was that he was “canceled” due to his political beliefs as a conservative Christian — but he had other complaints too.

Sorbo told the right-wing outlet that although he misses the weather, his old house and his local golf course, three factors keep him from returning to the Golden State.

“I mean, here in Florida, yeah, we get five months of pretty high humidity,” the Andromeda star acknowledged. “It’s pretty hot, but the winters here are really quite amazing. But yeah, there are things I miss, but they can keep their taxes, they can keep their traffic, and they can keep their negativity, I’m done.”

He went on to say that Florida has given him more “acceptance” since he relocated with his family.

Sorbo is known as a vocal critic of Hollywood, and he often claims that the entertainment industry is biased against people who have conservative or Christian views.

“It’s just ridiculous and childish to me,” he said. “We all have different opinions. There’s nothing wrong with that.”

He went on to say that people in Hollywood dismissed him after he became outspoken about his support for President Donald Trump.

“It’s the conservatives that are in the closet now because they saw me get canceled,” he explained. “But I’m still working.”

Sorbo is best known for his lead role as the ancient Greek demigod Hercules in the Nineties TV series Hercules: The Legendary Journey, which followed a series of five television films. After Hercules ended in 1999, Sorbo played Captain Dylan Hunt in the sci-fi drama Andromeda from 2005 to 2006. He also appeared on the final season of The O.C.

In recent years, he has focused largely on producing, directing and acting in faith-based films, with his latest project being a Christian movie about a rockstar titled Elijah Peel.

He also has worked on several family-oriented movies. Sorbo and his wife, conservative activist and actor Sam Sorbo, have three children together whom they homeschooled, including their son Braeden Sorbo, who is an actor and the author of a pro-masculinity book.

Braeden made headlines last year when he said on a podcast appearance that he thinks only married couples with property should have the right to vote.
