At least two people have been injured following an explosion at a train station in southern Germany, police have said.
Officials said an unidentified object exploded in a building passageway near Augsburg’s main train station.
A statement from Schwaben North Police said: “A major police operation is currently taking place in Augsburg on Bahnhofstr.
“Halderstrasse / Hübnerstrasse, Bahnhofstrase / Hübnerstrasse, and Viktoriastrasse / Bahnhofstrasse are closed. Public transport is disrupted.”
Augsburg is a regional transport hub around 55 kilometres northwest of Munich.
