How to check if you’ve won a prize in September’s NS&I draw
- More than 22 million people hold over £137bn in Premium Bonds, a government-backed savings scheme by NS&I.
- The next prize draw takes place on Tuesday 1 September, with results released the following day.
- Each £1 entered carries a 22,000-to-one chance of winning prizes ranging between £25 and £1 million.
- Analysis by money expert Martin Lewis found that the ‘interest rate’ on Premium Bonds accounts is 3.8 per cent when all winnings are considered – but notes most people won’t see anything like this.
- Bondholders can check whether they have won a prize by entering their details on the NS&I website checker or mobile app.
