The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, has announced the provisional locations, venues and dates for its planned passport intervention exercise in the United Kingdom.
The service said the exercise follows the deployment of a dedicated Passport Intervention Team from its headquarters in Abuja to the UK, on the directive of the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Recall that on August 9, 2026, the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, announced the deployment of a dedicated Passport Intervention Team to the United Kingdom to address pending passport applications and further streamline passport services for Nigerians in the diaspora.
In a follow-up public announcement issued on Monday and signed by Akinsola Akinlabi, the Service Public Relations Officer, the NIS provided details of the exercise.

According to the statement, the NIS said it reached the decision on the locations and venues following consultations with the High Commission of Nigeria and representatives of Nigerian communities in the UK.
The statement reads in part: “Sequel to the earlier announcement on the deployment of a Passport Intervention Team from the Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters, Abuja, to the United Kingdom, on the directive of the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Service hereby informs the public that:
“Following due consultation with the High Commission of Nigeria and representatives of Nigerian communities in the UK, the provisional locations, venues and dates for the intervention exercise are as indicated below.”
