Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has said that collaboration between members of Fityanul Islam First Aid Group and security agencies across the country, has enhanced peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.
Speaking at the national seminar and award ceremony of the Group on Sunday, he also noted that members of the First Aid Group are always the first responders in times of natural disasters, accidents or fire outbreaks.
He commended the members for performing these selfless tasks pro bono, maintaining that only Allah(SWT) can adequately reward them for their service for humanity.
Governor Uba Sani equally said the Aid Group helps in the conduct of the yearly pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, by ensuring a seamless exercise right from Hajj camp, to the airport, up to the Holy Land.

According to him, members of Fityanul Islam Aid Group usually help the aged and physically challenged in performing their religious obligations during Friday prayers.
Underscoring the importance of the group, the Governor disclosed that he was at Asaba, the Delta State capital on Saturday for a function, but had to return immediately to attend its national seminar.
‘’I am here just to demonstrate to you that we have been following all the good deeds that you have been doing and to show gratitude. God will reward you abundantly for all your good deeds,’’ he said.
Governor Uba Sani who said that over 2000 members of the Aid Group attended the seminar, pointed out that ‘’ Government is 100% with you,’’ promising to provide all the necessary support to continue propagate peaceful coexistence across the country.
‘’Kaduna is the capital of Northern Nigeria. All that my Government has been doing is to return it to its past glory. This can only be achieved if there is peace. We will ensure that every citizen is given his or her rights under the law.
‘’When we were elected, I swore with the Qurán that I will be fair to all the people in Kaduna State. Being fair to all and sundry is what brings peace. Our religion enjoins us that even an animal deserves to be treated fairly.
‘’So, every human being, no matter his or her status, deserves to be treated with fairness and justice,’’ he argued, vowing to be fair to both Muslims and Christians as well as all sects within the two religions in Kaduna State.
The Governor made a personal donation of two buses to the National Headquarters of the Fityanul Islam Aid Group and a bus as well as two vehicles to the Kaduna State chapter. He also gave N50 million as transport fare to those who attended the seminar.
Earlier, the Kaduna State Chairman of Fityanul Islam, Sheikh Rabiu Abdullahi Zaria had described the Governor as a fair-minded leader, who has been showing interest in religious activities.
‘’We have nothing but prayers for him, he has given us support and showed us love and concern in all our activities. Time will not permit me to list what he has done for us, even before he became senator and now that he is Governor,’’ he said.
Sheikh Rabiu reminded that the national seminar which Governor Uba Sani facilitated, was conducted to strengthen the capacity of select members of the Aid Group, adding that its membership is over one million strong.
He pledged to pray for the Governor’s success and ‘’at the right time, we will demonstrate our support for you, just as you have shown love to us, we will openly show ours when the time comes.’’
The Chairman pointed out that although Fityanul Islam is a religious organisation and not a political association, it is nonetheless 100% behind Governor Uba Sani.
‘’The Prophet(SAW) said that anyone that has done good to you, pray for him if you can’t reciprocate the gesture. We have something to repay the Governor with and the time is around the corner. We are equally praying for you.
Sheikh Rabiu Abdullahi Zaria told the Governor that ‘’by the Grace of God, you will conclude your first term successfully and you will be re-elected for a second term.’’
