Harry Styles couldn’t resist cracking a joke about Taylor Swift’s wedding at Madison Square Garden, as he performed his latest show at the New York City venue.
Towards the end of the third concert of his record-breaking 30-night residency at MSG, the Grammy-winning pop star surveyed his surroundings and observed that it was the home to the New York Knicks, US media reports.
“We’re at Madison Square Garden, home of the world champion New York Knicks!” Styles said, acknowledging the team’s first NBA championship win since 1973.
He then quipped: “And they also do weddings.”
Styles and Swift are believed to have dated between 2012 to 2013, with Swift’s song “Style” from her 2014 record 1989, along with several other tracks, rumoured to have been inspired by him.
Swift’s wedding to Kansas City Chiefs tight-end Travis Kelce was one of the most talked-about events of the summer, with a 1,000-strong guestlist featuring some of the biggest names in entertainment, among them Hugh Grant, Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, Emma Stone, Ed Sheeran, Graham Norton, Julianne Moore, Jennifer Lawrence, Ben Stiller, Steven Spielberg and Jennifer Lopez.

However, his rumoured fiance, actor Zoe Kravitz, was spotted at the wedding.
People reported that Styles and Kravitz – the daughter of actor Lisa Bonet and musician Lenny Kravitz – became engaged in April, after eight months of dating. Kravitz has been spotted on several occasions wearing a large nine-carat diamond on her ring finger.

On the first night, the pop singer paid tribute to late country star Dolly Parton with a cover of her 1974 song “I Will Always Love You”.
Reviewing his Wembley show, The Independent praised Styles as “the consummate entertainer, a charisma factory who lights the place up better than any pyrotechnics”.
“It’s no mean feat to turn a cold concrete stadium into a warm, communal space, but Styles does it. That’s just how good he is,” the four-star review added.
