  • Jurors in Plymouth, Massachusetts, resumed deliberations on Friday in the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse accused of killing her three children in 2023.
  • While both sides agree Clancy killed her children, defense attorneys contend she suffered from severe postpartum psychosis exacerbated by poor medical care, whereas prosecutors argue she intentionally planned the murders.
  • On their second day of deliberations, the jury requested to inspect key evidence, including a bloody knife Clancy used in a suicide attempt and bags of empty prescription pill bottles retrieved from her home.
  • During closing arguments on Thursday, defense attorney Kevin Reddington questioned the thoroughness of the police investigation and said he personally retrieved the empty pill bottles from Clancy’s home.
  • “I was able to grab this,” he told the jury. “Why wouldn’t the police have grabbed this? You can see they’re all empty. You can see when they were prescribed. You can see what they are. You can see what she took.”
