Troops recover 97 rustled livestock from terrorists in Kano

Troops of the 1 Division of the Nigerian Army have recovered 97 rustled livestock from suspected terrorists in Gwarzo Local Government Area of Kano State.
The recovery was contained in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Thursday.

According to the report, the operation took place at about 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday, after troops received information about terrorist activities in Mai Nika Ward of the local government area.

“The troops moved to the area and engaged the suspected terrorists, forcing them to flee and abandon 67 rustled livestock.

“The soldiers later searched the surrounding area and recovered another 27 livestock, bringing the total number of animals recovered to 97,” Makama wrote.

The livestock were subsequently handed over to their owners in the presence of the Gwarzo Local Government Chairman and representatives of other security agencies.
