- Kelly Clarkson has paid tribute to Dolly Parton following the country singer’s death, aged 80.
- The singer wrote in a statement Parton “had a way of making everyone feel special, and seen, and welcomed, and as if you were old friends.”
- “I will miss her heart and her voice as I am sure millions will,” the singer said. “What an incredible gift and talent she was and still is with an amazing catalogue of art she has left behind for all of us.”
- Jamie Lee Curtis, Reba McEntire and Dionne Warwick have also paid tribute to the country legend.
- Dolly’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, announced the news on behalf of the family on Tuesday, saying, “Dolly has lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus.” Her cause of death has not been disclosed.
