Easyjet ramps up recruitment drive for new cabin crew members aged 50 plus

  • easyJet has launched a new recruitment campaign aimed at encouraging individuals over the age of 50 to apply for cabin crew positions.
  • Since introducing a targeted hiring scheme in 2022, the airline has more than doubled its cabin crew aged over 50, whilst crew members in their 60s have nearly quadrupled.
  • Applications for the latest cabin crew opportunities across the airline’s UK bases will open from September.
  • The recruitment drive coincides with news that easyJet is set to be acquired by private equity firm Apollo in a £5.7 billion takeover deal.
  • Airline founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and the easyJet board have given their support to the Apollo acquisition to drive future growth.
