‘Painful void in Nigeria’s creative community’ – Atiku mourns Taiwo Hassan

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has mourned the death of veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, describing his passing as deeply saddening.

Atiku shared the tribute on his official social media page, noting that the news came only days after the public became aware of the actor’s battle with cancer.

He described Taiwo Hassan as more than a gifted actor, highlighting his contribution to the Nigerian entertainment industry and the impact of his work.

“Alhaji Taiwo Hassan was more than a gifted actor. Through a remarkable career, he brought laughter into countless homes, told stories that reflected our society, and used his talent not only to entertain but also to educate and inspire social rebirth.
