Part of A66 closed after multiple people die in early-morning crash
- Multiple people have died following a collision involving a police vehicle and a Volkswagen Passat in Teesside.
- The fatal crash occurred at around 3.39am on Saturday on the A66 in South Bank, near Middlesbrough.
- Cleveland Police said that a significant emergency service response is present at the scene.
- The A66 has been closed in both directions between Normanby Road and Church Lane and is expected to remain closed for some time.
- Officers are working to identify the victims and contact their families.
