Kwara Central Senator, Saliu Mustapha, has declared that he would defeat Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in the 2027 senatorial election before 1 pm on election day.
Mustapha expressed the confidence on Friday when he featured in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, stressing that he would have secured victory hours before the final results were announced.
DAILY POST reports that the governor is the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for the 2027 Kwara Central Senatorial race.
“I would have won that election 12 o’clock before 1 o’clock, In Sha Allah, in the senatorial race. It will be one election Nigerians would be waiting to see the results,” he said.
Recall that Mustapha recently left the APC for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and became the party’s senatorial candidate for the 2027 general elections.
He attributed his decision to leave the ruling party to inadequate consultation and poor management of political interests within the APC by the governor.
