Arsenal began their Premier League title defence with a resounding 3-0 victory over Coventry City on Friday night.
The Gunners won their first title in 22 years last term.
And against the winners of the Championship, Mikel Arteta’s men showed their class at the Emirates.
Kai Havertz scored the first goal of this campaign, with a controlled finish into the bottom corner of the net.
Arsenal raced into a two-goal lead before the break, after Bukayo Saka latched on a defensive mix-up to roll the ball into the net.
Captain Martin Odegaard added a third early in the second half as Arsenal opened with a statement of intent.
Their next game will be away to Aston Villa next Monday.
